The Enchanted Forest

:
:
The Enchanted Forest was one of the nation's earliest theme parks, opened in 1955 (one month after Disneyland). It was located on Route 40 in Ellicott City, Maryland.

Alas, it has been closed since the 1980's but many of the characters and buildings have been rescued and restored. You can now find them at
Clark's Elioak Farm on Route 108, not far from the original location. I remember it fondly from the many trips as a young child. I recently photographed some of the restored pieces at the new farm location:

These photos were all enhanced using Adobe Lightroom. However, I could not find a preset that adequately lightened and brightened both a dark foreground AND background. So I created a new preset, ENCHANTED OZ. You can view it's effect in the 3 photos below:

Now that you've seen what the preset can do, grab your copy for FREE!
*You must have LIGHTROOM to use this preset

I just have to say that those are wonderful pictures, and it must have been such a cool place to visit (the original). It's a shame when fun things like that go away, I'm glad they were able to restore at least part.
